On dash board it states lift gate is open when it is closed. All the doors lock and work fine but it states that it is open and the interior light are on. I do not even know where the sensor is to see it. WHat could be wrong and how can iI fix it.

I have a 2008 with the same problem. The sensor in mine was bad. The sensor is located in the latch assembley for the hatch. I unplugged it and that solved the problem. There is a small access panel you need to remove. I took the whole inner panel off to gain access. To replace the sensor you have to do the whole latch. The sensor can not be replaced seperatly. A preety easy repair though. The part is a dealer part and is around 65 dollars.
