Spark plug configuration

I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport, V6 4 liter engine, with 140,000 miles. The jeep was idling funny, so I check the spark plugs and found they needed to be replaced. I replaced them and sure that I did not cross any wires, but now the jeep is hardly idling. It acts as if it is about to die, and shakes pretty bad. I am afraid it might be a bad gasket or something. Can you tell me the correct configuration for spark plugs, or what the problem might be?

OK, you replaced your plugs, 3 on each side - didn't cross wires. Is the plug gap set correctly? What made you decide that the plugs required replacement? Just looking for info. Loose wires? Wires not seated completely? How did the jeep run before replacing the plugs? If the jeep ran fine BEFORE replacing the plugs, then you've identified the area to be checked. Please post back with more info regarding your problem - as much as you can. It will make troubleshooting a whole lot easier! Good Luck!
