1996 Jeep Cherokee Electrical?

Turn the ignition to start. Lights, radio and buzzer works fine. Engine does not crank, turn over, it makes no noise as if trying to start. Ignition switch does not spring back. Never had this type of problem before. Just did it two days ago.

Yes, you may have a problem with the lock cylinder. As long as the ignition switch isn't damaged.

You could do some testing at the starter relay, might be in the power distribution center under the hood.

The voltage circuit for the load side of the relay, is hot all the time, I believe. The voltage for the control side, goes hot with the key in the crank position. I have started vehicles at the starter relay, but, there might be safety issues? Any testing you do at the starter relay, make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set.
