Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1989 jeep cherokee, 4wd, recently I have not been able to get it to start and continue running. The engine starts like it is supposed to but just as fast as it starts it dies. I have a book on this vehicle but it makes NO sense what so ever. So PLEASE if anyone can help my REPLY ASAP. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
Sincerely,
Dead In Place

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump and also idle air control valve/motor/ISC and EGR valve

Sir-If its carb looking thing its a TBI you probably have to tee-in on the fuel filter Now if its a MPFI hook it up on the fuel rail test port
