2005 Jaguar XJR Knocking when cold

Suspension problem
2005 Jaguar XJR V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 40000 miles

I have a distinct knock from the front suspension on a slightly uneven road surface when the car is cold in the morning. The knock continues for approx 15km and then slowly disappears. If the car has been jacked up off its wheels then the knock is gone for about 200km and then returns. Jaguar Cape Town have spent days on the car without result. Can anybody help.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Have3 the cross member mounts been checked, i would be backing off all the frame mount bolts and doing a re tension, i would be checking all the suspension & steering mount for loose bolts do not leave anything unchecked, from what you say i feel that it is body & suspension related.
