Hi, and thanks for taking my question. I have a '99 Jaguar, XJ8, 62,000 miles, 4.0 V8. I pulled the cqr out of the garage and had it sitting for a few hours. Went to bring it back in and it wouldn't start. scanned the OBDII system, it came up with a pending P1111, then no code, then a P1642. It turns over, but will not fire. I saw on another post you said to replace the MAF sensor, but I don't wan't to just drop $300 on a possibility. Is there a way to test the MAF sensor? Thanks, Tom.

try pouring oil in each cylinder and replacing plugs. had the same problem last week and this worked. something about injectors flooding cylinders causing it to lose compresion.
