Ticking at start up
I have a 1998 Jaguar XJ8L. It has 90000 miles on it.
When I start the car when cold it makes a ticking noise that will go away when you rev the motor. What could be causing this?

hello, the noise you hear is from the timing variable valve timging circuts. this should be fixed by a dealer the job is very diificult and should be done at the dealer
