When I drive my vehicle for a long period of time (45 min. To an hour) a loud screeching or grinding noise starts from underneath the car. Its usualy when I drive at a steady speed, and does not matter if I press the gas pedal or not. It does not make noise when the vehicle is going at a low speed (10mph or less). The noise is not constant as far as non stop screeching, but it is constant on and off few seconds at a time non stop. I have taken the vehicle to a couple of mechanic shops and they could not tell me what the exact problem was, just speculations. I would greatly appreciate it if you please help me out with this problenm?

Since you already have speculation, I would suggest getting some test equipment.

There is a tool called "chassis ears". For a hundred bucks they may pay for themselves with this problem. You can get the noise narrowed down to a location that we may be able to build a theory from the speculation.

Noises are tough to diagnose when they are intermittant and only occur after long driving time.

Noise can appear in one place but can resonate can appear to be coming from another location. The ears will be able to avoid this.
