Cold Starting Problem

When cold often requires multiple cranks, sometimes as many as 20 to 30 to get it started. After having been driven for awhile and operating temp at or near normal it starts right away.

Please advise what could be the cause of this problem. Thank you.

Coolant temp sensor could be out of range, telling the ECU the engine is warmer than it really is, thus sending the motor too lean a fuel mixture to start.
