Well, my car wouldn't start only crank. My friend bypassed the fuel pump and it worked. But I had no radio, no mirrors, no inside lights and now I have no heater.

I thought I could just change the relays under the hood (because I saw it online).

And now I'm completely confused. I unfortunately live in my car because I was a recent victim of domestic violence. That's a very long story.

I just need someone to help me throughout this. So, me and my two little dogs can survive.

Hi,

I need to know what was done to bypass the fuel pump. I suspect you mean something was done to the wiring, but I need confirmation.

Let me know as much as you can. And yes, there is a fuel pump. I attached a pic below of its location in the power distribution module. Let me know if that relay is still there.

Also, if you could take a few pics of what was done, hopefully, it will help me determine what was done.

Take care and let me know.

Joe

Hi Jacob, thank you for answering me. Originally, I had to have my keys replaced because they were lost twice so after I did that, I was getting like it was a hard start. Well, then one day I decided to clean my car and I blew that with the air compressor, and it messed up the ignition. I had another set of keys made but it's still been a hard start then about a month later it seemed like I wasn't getting fuel and no spark. So, I took a wire from the ground at the computer under the engine and I connected it to the positive side of the cable and my fuel pump kicked in and I could drive it like that; just every time I parked, I would have to take off that cable. Then the other day when it was very cold and my heater wasn't working, I decided to try to change the fuses or check them and or the relays and when I did that now I can't even bypass it, but it seems like I'm grounding out somewhere, but I've lost my mind on how to work on this anymore. This has been one of the hardest things to deal with since losing my home, so I really appreciate your help. I've checked the fuses under the hood of taking a test light some work on one side some work on both sides. The other issue I have is when I pull out the relay and I think it's the ECM one then my fan turns on for my radiator like I said I'm confused I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi,

I'm trying. Please bear with me. If you took a computer ground and connected it to the battery positive, it would create a dead short. The wire would have likely melted down or caused a fire. So, something different must have been done.

Here is what I need you to do. I need to determine if the problem is fuel-related, or ignition related. So, see if it will start if you use starting fluid. If it starts and then stalls, we know it is fuel related. If there is no change, we need to check for spark at the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe

Does the check engine light come on with the ignition key? These cars have an IPDM which goes out and can cause all of the issues you are having. We should do a CAN scan to confirm you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon from about $32.00.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

Amazon CAN scanner Link.

Here is how to change the IPDM out in case you need it. It is easy to replace because it does not need programming, it-self learns. I hope you are your doggy's are okay. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
