1998 Isuzu Hombre Fuel Injector pressure regulator
Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Isuzu Hombre 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 114000 miles
My vehicle starts, but dies when placed in gear. The fuel pump has 80# pressure and I was told the pressure regulator needs replaced with the pump. Is 80# a good reading? How do I replace the regulator? Is there one for the engine or one for each fuel injector?
Thanks!!

80 lbs is way too much pressure for this vehicle...the fuel pressure should only be 41 - 47 psi. The fuel pressure regulator can still be at fault because it is letting too much fuel to the engine and flooding it out. There is only one regulator and it is found on the fuel railing. Be certain to release the fuel pressure before replacing the regulator.
