Once every couple of months, my Amigo just won't start. I turn the key and nothing, no clicks, no sounds, nothing. Lights and signals and radio all work. I have tried to use jumper cables, still nothing. I usually roll start it being a manual. Then the next time I try to start it it is just fine, again for weeks or months. Any ideas what I should be looking at? I replace the battery a year ago and the starter 4 years ago.

You have "dead" spots in the starter brush area. It will work fine for as long as the bendix doesn't stop at the "dead" spot. If it does, just push start and it will be good until it happens to stop at the dead spot again. If money is tight, I would just push start. It only happens once in a blue moon. If you have money, you may want to consider getting another starter. Most places offer lifetime warranty. Next time it happens, just bring it back for a new one.
