Engine Mechanical problem

Hello all hope u can help.
Battery is great, starter clicks when turned and makes a weak noise as if its trying to work. Like a squeel. Is this a problem u have heard of?? If so could it be just the switch or whole starter? TY

It is not the switch. Right now it is a toss between the battery and the starter. You did say that the battery is great. But, just to be sure, you should drive the vehicle to an auto parts store, such as Autozone or CSK/O'Reilly and ask them to perform an electrical system test. They will test the battery, starter and alternator. That way if the battery checks out good, then your problem lies within the starter.

Please advise when this is done.

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

You need to test the starter first. You can either connect 12V power wire directly to starter to make sure it rotates (safely secure starter, has a lot of torque) or take it to an auto parts store that has the ability to fully check it. Most parts stores will do this free.
