When I turn the key to the on position the lights and radio work but when I turn the key to the start position I get absolutely nothing.

This sounds like a typical low battery or poor connection issue (could possibly be other issues too).

Just to get things rolling with maybe the most probable possibilities, check out the links I am sending.

Here are a few pictures I made too at the bottom!

Also follow the positive battery cable to the Item shown in picture 4 (starter solenoid) check the connections on it, insure "S" wire (small wire) is still connected to "S" terminal on the solenoid (usually marked as in my picture). Sometimes this will get knocked loose/I have seen it purposely taken loose to prevent someone from using the vehicle (teenager/mad boyfriend/etc.).

Keep us posted with progress, we can go deeper with testing if necessary (we do not mind at all!). This is just a usual type problem I am going with for now.

Right now, does it "crank" or "turn over" at all ("start" means it cranks and then runs) which is it not doing now?

If it is cranking, does it act like it is trying to start (fires here and there, spit and sputters, or is it just plain ole dry monotone "over and overs")
