I changed out starter but not starting, get dash lights and gauges and checked all fuses and relays. Could it be ignition switch? And how hard to change it?

Could be the ignition switch. Could also be the range/PRNDL switch (that is a switch on the transmission that tells the computer what gear you have the transmission in). The car will not start if it is in any gear other than P or N. Try putting the car in N and see if it turns over. Also, try jiggling the shifter when turning the key. If that does not do it, then we will go through the diagnostics process together.

Oh lord I love it when it is something simple like that. I hope it did not cost too much to get that done.

Had a problem with my car not starting awhile back, had it towed to shop, they said it was some kind of security lock out and they reset something but did not tell me what they did. Now it is doing it again and I tried the ten minute battery thing I saw online but no go. Help?

Hello,
Here is a test procedure for your anti-theft system. Do you have access to a diagnostic code scan tool? Did you try the Oldsmobile factory reset I provided? I will look to see if I can find your anti-system fuses. Danny-
