I had my battery replaced back in April 2016 when battery was replaced mechanic did not hook up battery backup. The mileage on vehicle in reality is 20,000 but now outrageous number When battery replaced mechanic did not hook up a battery backup to hold vehicles memory data as result when I went to re- register my vehicle during emissions test all passed except test showing under bridge or under carriage control modular agent who caused the problem wants nothing to do with it. I need to know how to reset the body modular thing so I will be able to pass emissions and move forward to register my vehicle.

So is this issue you need to resolve is the mileage isn't the mileage it should be reading?

Besides the mileage not being accurate the most pressing problem is I need to find how to rest the modular memory so vehicle can be registered.

So what module are we talking about the body control module or the engine control module? This is a emissions test? Can you take a picture of the paper work saying why it failed and post it on here?Iam having trouble understanding what's going on here from your description. Iam very familiar with these cars I a factory trained Saturn tech and have work for Saturn for many years.

I am trying to set the monitors in the ecm for the test. The emissions department DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE MILEAGE.

I NEED TO SET MONITORS FOR EMC SO IT WILL PASS EMISSIONS I will attempt to send copy of denial form given to me at emissions station not once but twice. Can ECM monitors be set / rest without having vehicle dismantled as per DMV suggestion - just as note odometer reading went from 13.000 miles to way over now reading 600,000 - the vehicle has not been driven more than 100 miles since odometer malfunction.

Yeah I have seen the mileage do that it likes to go to 600,000 mileage when the bcms freak out.I have seen that happen from being jump started and battery replacement. How many miles have you driven since the battery was disconnected and hooked back up?There is no need to dismantle anything to set the monitors.
