Back brake pads wore completely off and only the inside of both back rotors were scorn severely. Front pads are still better than half good, bought this car new. Shouldn't front brakes where out 2 to 1 on pads, never did anything to the front pads what do you think is there a problem to why the back went bad first, anyway I need to do the brake can you help me please? Thank You!

On my 2008 Veracruz, the back pads wore out before the front. I was surprised as well. Seems it's just how the car is engineered. I was able to hear the "screech" bar engage the rotor to let me know the pads were getting low.

Hi,

Thank you for that information. And yes, it isn't uncommon for the rears to wear out faster. Long ago, it was always split 60/40. Fronts did 60% of the stopping and rear 40%. Thus, the front would wear out faster. I, too, have noticed the rears wearing out faster on the newer vehicles. It could be simply because of design or brake pad quality.

Regardless, thanks for the info and please feel free to come back anytime in the future.

Joe
