When I start the car, warm or cold, it seems to idle really low then stalls. I'd start it again, idles low again to about 700rpm, I'd press on the gas to rev up the rpm's, but seems to have a 'void' area around 2200 to 2500 rpm's where it does seem to be getting anything. But once I get it above that area it seems to idle fine. Also, when driving down the highway, it seems to be 'jumpy' around the 65mph to 70mph when I have the cruise controll on, like the void I mentioned before. Any thoughts?

Hi Leolionii,

When there is a void, the highest suspect is the TPS. Get it checked for voltage at closed and fully open throttle.

Any check engine lights showing?

Whats TPS? Yes, the engine light is on. I had my service guy check and it was an O2 sensor, they said they fixed it - $384. I did replace the air filter yesterday along with adding some fuel injector cleaner - seems to be running a little better, but still seems to idle low then stall - but only on the 1st try - cold.

Hi Leolionii,

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor.

If engine stall when starting from cold, it should be the cold start valve not functioning properly.

Give the throttle body a cleanup and it might solve the problem.
