How to reprogram key fob

When I unlock or close door, side mirror folds the wrong way instead of inward. How do I disable this completely?

I found a TSB on incorrect mirror position, follow this procedure and it may fix the problem, otherwise you may have to speak to a dealer.

Is there a way to reprogram the key to factory settings because the previous owner set it to fold it when he locks the door and fold outward when unlocking. But it's going out too far and it clicks several times like it it's going to break off
