Honda clutch

I have a 1988 honda 5 speed stick shift, when the car is started up I push the clutch in and it wont shift into first second, third, fourth, or fifth and even reverse, so I turned it off then put it in first then when I started it up again it wants to take off even though the clutch is still engaged, could I be low on gearcase oil, or could it be the prssure plate

Is that a cable or hydraulic system. That clutch is not right and it could be a cable adjustment or it is time for a clutch replacement. Check the cable first.
