My battery light comes on in my car. I'm not sure if it's the alternator, battery, or wiring. Can you please tell me how to diagnose the problem? I don't have a camera at this time.

Hi there,

you will need a volt meter that reads 0-25 Volts or there abouts, a standard multi meter will do, set on AC volts, Pos (+) probe on main alternator wire, and (-) on a good earth, start engine charge rate should be between 13V and 14.5 as a good average, if sub 12.5 alternator will require o/hauling.
