Seems to not be getting fuel to start. Have been using starting fluid to start the car. Taking off the air filter cover and spraying starting fluid in the air intake and top cover of the air filter housing that has a wiring harness attached to it. Usually takes 3-5 shots of ether, then the engine will start. Runs sluggish for the first couple of miles, then runs like a charm. However, getting more difficult to start, even with ether. Took it to a mechanic and he could not diagnose the problem. Any help at this point would be very helpful!

It sounds like the fuel pump needs to be replaced. pressure spec is 47 -54 psi should be 47 minimum and I'd bet its' low. auto parts rent gauge.

This guide will help walk you through the repair

Yeah never use spray ether on a fuel injected engine I have blown one up doing that. It will explode destroy the whole intake plenum and other parts bad. Dont do it. Need highest pressure at ctranking time or it wont start and run. Most likely you have fuel delivery issue. Get a fuel pressure testing kit. Or you will get no where. And this goes for anyone with a supected low fuel delivery no start condition. On any fuel injected car/truck, if youre not willing to rent or buy a pressure test kit then youre gonna have to take it to someone who can will. Theres no magic fixes/wishes or short cuts here.

IS there fuel in the tank. Don't laugh, I've seen this more times than I thought I ever would.

My opinion is to avoid a warranty issue and call the dealer. Since you paid for a warranty, I would use it.

Are you sure that you did not cross the jumper cables to the wrong posts. Can wipe out a computer.
