Recently I noticed when at a drive through or stop light for about 10 minutes my car starts to over heat. There are no signs of oil in my coolant as well no leaks. I am going to replace whatever it is myself however I dont want to do the head gasket if its the water pump or vise versa. Please help thanks

Hi there,

Start with the simple things first, check that the cooling fans are coming on, the thermostat is functioning correctly. The pressure cap is working and look into the radiator and have it cleaned & flow tested. Start here.
