Still can't find where the fuel filter is?

04 Civic SiR hatchback. I have been told that there is a lifetime fuel filter in the gas tank but also that there is another part in the engine bay, is this true and if so where is it? There is a metal cylinder on the firewall on the driver side but I don't know what it is. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,

The fuel filter is in the fuel tank attached to the pump here is a guide to show you what it will take to remove the tank and pump assembly with diagrams below to show you on your car.

2004 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 81000K miles

Hi, I am wondering where the fuel filter is located on my car, I wanna change it. Is there anything I need to know? Is it hard to access? Do I need a speacial tool? Thanks.

Oh I dont know if it matters but my car is the SiR hatchback (Si US version) 2.0L engine. Thanks again.

I see, so the filter is in the tank, I thought there was a secondary part to it somewhere in the engine bay.

Yes there is only one filter on the honda civic 2003. Located on the fuel pump inside the tank

I have a Honda 2003 Civic Lx 4 door model with 69,000 miles on it. I am trying to locate the fuel filter for replacement, is there an in line filter or as someone told me it's located in the tank itself. Where can I access the filter?

I found out it has to be accessed thru the tank by removing the back seat cushions and there is a panel to remove to gain access to the top of the tank' I' ll give it a try!

The firewall is the wall between the engine and the passenger compartment. It is the divider between the engine and seating area. Most Honda fuel filters are mounted to the firewall.

2001 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

Hi I'm trying to service a Honda Ciivic but I am having diificulty locating the fuel filter for this model. I have taken out the back seat and taken off the inspection cover, not there. I have dropped the fuel tank, not there. I have followed the fuel lines to the front of the car and look around even taking off the induction system but no luck. Where in the world have they put the fuel filter?
