2004 Honda Civic X431 Master Error while scanning ECU

I have X431 master and When I am scanning Vehicle, at the final stage it give the following error message:

Please make sure.
1. If vehicle is equipped with the system
2. If it is controlled by computer
3. If the diagnostic connector is correctly connected
4. If the ignition key is turned on

This message come every time. When I am using OBDi 16 Pin connector, vehicle is Honda Civic 2004 model, ignition key is on.
Please guide me?

Hi engr748,

If the scanner is ODB-II compliant, then it is possible there is a power supply missing from the PCM or the wire from PCM to DLc is open.

Now when I checked other vehicles it have given the same error with slight change in wording,
i.E Toyota 2008, mitsubishi, suzuki etc
in fact I checked connector and version of for each one at testing time, they all are valid for the concern but not working properly. Moreover I used OBD ii 16 pin connector.

OBD-II compliant does not mean it can read all OBD-II vehicles. It depends on the standard used in the scanner and there are many.

The model you have might not be compatible for Japanese makes. Try using it on American models and see if you come up with anything. If the results are similar, the scanner could be faulty.
