Yes but it will only give engine or trans codes nothing more unless you can get abs codes as well if it has that capability

I'm having a problem with my 2008 honda accord 2.4 the scanner shows two codes p0341 camshaft sensor and fuel metering maybe mass air sensor any suggestion. Vehicle tries to crank but will not.

Those codes have nothing to do with cranking. Try resetting security system if no manual look online. If it starts erase codes then drive and if check engine comes on again then check or replace the parts that code relates to. If you car cranks(turns over) bu twill not start replace cam sensor.

The location of the sensor. I'm assuming it's on the driver side close to the cylinder head.

We don't show a 2.4L only 1.61.8 and 2.0 which do you have the pic i'm sending is for a 2.0l and this one has two see pic

Sorry I tried to send a picture of the engine. It is a 2.4 l dohc I vtec. The vehicle is 2008 honda accord.

I went by your model on the top of page it clearly says civic when it was not no biggie.
