I have not used my Honda Civic Car for 3 months as I was out of country on visit. After I come back and started my car and engine was started everything seems to be fine and the back wheels are not rotating when I accelarate and the front wheels are rotating. The car was struggling to move.

Do you think anything got rusted? I kept the car in the undergroud gaurage with all other cars. I would appreciate if you can provide some guidance in this regard.

Thaking you
MM

Hi mmcivic,

Either the handbrake cable or the rear brakes have seized due to rust or other factors.

You need to check the brake system.

Hi mmcivic,

If the brakes are stuck due to seized brake cables or slave cylinders, it is not going to be easy to remove the rear brake assy.

If you are not good with DIY, I would suggest getting some one with the knowledge and capability to do it.
