The headlights, dome light and instrument pannel flicker while the car is at idle or while driving this happens when the car is at normal operating temp, the lights stop flickering when I power on the a/c. I have also noticed that the lights flicker to same same pase as the cars idle speed. I have a brand new alternator installed and a new battery oe specific size, I have tested the battery and alt output myself and had a local autoparts store test also, results are system working perfect, I have installed 2 additional grounds and cleaned the orginal ones, tested them, I get 1.0 or less ohms, I have replaced the ELD ( electric load detector ), I have replaced the fuses all of them, I have replaced the spark plugs also, I get no warning lights on my dash, except for the SRS which has been on for way before this problem started happening.

Hi renedorth,

You have covered al the basics of the problem and from what I can gather, there are 2 other possibilities.

1. Multiplex control unit/system. This is related to the lightings and AC system.

2. Poor ground. You have installed additional ground cables but they are not goin to help if the problem is with the lighting circuit grounds. Check the ground connections underdash.

3. Power supply. Check if the fuses are plugged in/bolted on tight.

What is the charging voltage when the problem occurs? Check at battery and alternator main terminal.
