2000 Honda Civic 4 cyl Automatic

My original ac compressor has gone bad. It had become very noisy. I need to replace this one. I have looked around on eBay and Sanden-NEW are cheaper than the used OEM models. I cannot afford NEW OEM.
Can you advice me on this, should I go for the used one or NEW sanden. And will the Sanden compressor just drop in place of old one or I have make additional replacements.
The car is Civic-EX-2000-1.6L-Automatic. Can you also tell me the equivalent Sanden model

Thanks

Hi babo,

I would go for the new compressor not because it is cheaper but because it is new and should last longer.

Sorry to say that I am not able to provide the correct specifications as the data available to me does not list the model and specifications. Get the serial number and model from your original compressor and check with the supplier which is the correct one.

If you get one that is not of the correct specs, you might have to modifiy the bracket which might be additional cost to the replacement.

Hi Babo,

You should contact the compressor supplier with the available info and ask them to advise on the correct compressor to purchase.
