Hey,
I have a problem with my brakes right now. They squeel a little as I'm coming to a stop but mostly they make a loud whine as I'm driving. It occurs at any speed.5mph-65mph. It seems to take 5min or so of driving before it starts. It will go away briefly if I pull the handbrake which makes me suspect it is exclusively the back brakes making the noise. I should also mention they are drums on the back.

I would suggest inspecting the hardware because, what happens is the springs get corroded and dont have the recoil that it used to, so therefore it will leave the brakes halfway engaged, not enough to cause a drag but just enough to cause it to scrape against the drum. And it usually wont happen untill they get hot causing the springs to expand and have a slightly weaker recoil

Yeah seems like an inspection is in order. Just learned about fixing my IACV and IAT sensor last weekend. Guess now I can add drums to the list lol. Thanks for the suggestion.
