Transmission problem 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 150184 miles

My 1997 Honda Civic starting surging as you would go uphill about a year ago. At first you could hardly tell it was doing it, but it has gotten progressively worse. I took it to a mechanic, they replaced the fuel filter, computer, and then rebuilt the transmission. All this cost more then I actually paid for the car. And the car isn't fixed, it is still doing the same exact thing, I can't tell any difference at all. Is there something else that may cause this? It can't be normal.

Hello,

This sounds like you have a MAP sensor that is going bad. Here is a guide to help you see what other tings it can be but I am pretty confident in the MAP sensor correctly the problem.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
