1997 Honda Civic Two Wheel Drive Automatic 167000 miles

my air conditioner doesn't cool and it blows only on high. What is needed to repair it? What is the approximate cost? My son in law says he can change the belt for me and re charge it.

2 problems. First you need to replace the blower m otor resister for the fan to make it work in all speeds, second you most likely need to recharge the ac system with freon and look for a leak in the system.
