For the past few days my car has been experiencing problems when I go to start the engine. It will start normal about a 3rd of the time and the rest of the time it will just keep cranking, until it finnally starts bogging real low and eventually turns over after I press the gas. I replaced the spark plugs, distributer cap, fuel filter, and oil filter hoping that would maybe cure the problem but none of which have worked. My check engine light has been on for a little over a month but I had encountered no problems until now. I am getting a spark, I have power. I'm thinking it is maybe the fuel pump, or the distributer but i'm not sure which one it may be. Due to the fact that both are expensive I do not wanna buy one, with it ending up being the other. I could use some assistance, and any help would do.

What you need to do is get the computer scanned for code/s there's a problem within the engine management system this is your starting point finding out what's wrong.

Yeahh I looked in my manual, and online, but I can't seem to figure out if my car has the proper(newer) computer in it so that it can be checked. There doesn't seem to be a plug under the dash to plug it into a automotive computer
