1992 Honda Civic Automatic

My 1992 Honda Civic sometimes won't start due to the fuel pump not running. I assumed it was the fuel pump, so I changed it, but the next day it started doing it again. (Sometimes it starts right up, sometimes it takes a while for the fuel pump to run)
I'm stumped?

Yes, I do have a check engine light on. My ECM was just replaced, so my last thought is that it must be the main relay. I was just wondering if there was some other possibility that I missed.
