Starting Problem

We have a 1996 Honda Accord 2.2 engine with 172,200 miles.
About a month ago it started having an occasional problem, where you would have to push the clutch in and let it out, or turn the key on and off several times (just once or twice at first, getting worse as time went by) before it will start. We replaced the clutch switch and it fixed the problem for a few days, and then it started (gradually getting worse) all over again.
We are at a loss as to where to look next. Any ideas?

yep wouldn't be surprised in the ign switch was going bad. Honda has had problems with these for years. Some of them are on recall, so check with a local dealer.

We figured it out! It ended up being a bad wire on the starter. Not a cheap fix, but fixed no the less.
