I have a 93 Honda Accord, mileage 168,000. Automatic. I notice my car has been having trouble starting. Yesterday, my car had been parked outside in the heat. And it would not start. I notice my coolant was basically empty. I had to pour water in my car for it to start up. I'm going to get some coolant. And watch it to see if its leaking. My car is a 93, so I am unable to get a code ran on my car(autozone, etc). Unless I go to a mechanic. One mechanic told me my car was ran hot. My head gasket/seal need replacing. My car has no symptoms of smoking, leaking anything.(Fyi) any ideas?

Under the dash is the clip to read engine codes but it sounds as thought the CEL is not on in the car. It is possible that the head gasket has failed. You need to check where the coolant is going and how much. You need to check the engine for leaks. Not all leaks will be oozing water or coolant. Some might be on top such as a hairline crack. It can let out steam and it can let in air in to the system. You could have a leak down test performed on the engine to help determine where the problem lies.
