Good evening sir, my car is well maintained, i trusted my car is in good condition, all of a sudden i noticed the car transmission wont engaged in any gear also the reverse, when i turn it off and turn on again, the car back to normal, the next day i drove the car and same problem happened again. turn it off and turn on again back to normal drive. after that i decided to brought my car to honda service and after one week the pressure test done to my car failed. so the diagnosed of honda service is to remanufacture the transmission. nothing done to my car, when i get the car and drive it home, i noticed the car run very smooth and back to its power. until then the car performs very well. what is going on to my car? every time i used the car i have a bad feeling. please reply. thanks and god blessed.

Hi allanannonuevo,

If the problem occurs mostly during cold start, then problem coudl be due to transmission control and the control unit (TCM) is the likely suspect. Trouble codes could be stored in the TCM. Note if the D4 light blinks when problem occurs.

If problem occurs mostly after some driving, the tranmission has internal pressure leaks and is failing. Problem would become more often and might take a longer wait for it to work after turning the engine off.
