1992 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles

I change the oil and filter in my Honda every 3-4000
miles.
In just a few hundred miles the oil is black.I am using good oil. But it sure looks old quickly.

Hi thomp427,

An old engine will have blowby and that would cause the oil to turn black even if it is run for a day or 2.

A good oil will take with it all the contaminants so will look black.
