The engine is sputtering on take off. If I let off the gas and press again it speeds up then sputters again, repeat let off gas and press again. Etc. I was getting engine trouble codes 1, 41, 43. My mechanic said it comes back as bad ECU/ECM. I replaced computer and the problem got worse but now the check engine light does not come on. I put the old computer back in and the problem is still worse. I and my mechanic are at a loss. Any ideas would help. Thanks

Check the ECM ground at the thermostat housing. Take it off, clean the connection, ensure the bolt is good and tight.

If that doesn't cure anything, I'd look at TPS voltage/signal as well as MAP.

Does it only do it when it's warm or cold? Or does it always do it?
