Coldest morn of year (-10) I go out start my old warhorse 91 honda, come back 20 min later, HUGE puddle of oil on ground, seems to have just happened, oil light not yet on. No water on ground, no water showing on dipstick, seems to be in area of oil filter, have taken it off, not loose, not split. Plug still in and tight to pan. Can you think of anything relatively minor that this could be? Large miles on car not willing to spend much to repair, help mike

Just going to add 2 cents here.

The oil filter base has an oil cooler and the O ring tends to leak. Check that out.
