I recently had a problem with the car overheating. There was a crack in the radiator- that was changed. A few days later I noticed the car overheat again. There was a hole in the hose behind the engine - the hose was changed. Again a few days later the temperture gauge was going on H. Another hole was found in the heating system hose. That was repaired. After all this it was found that the coolant was leaking into one of the cylinders which was causing the problem. The thermastat was removed and I was told the engine head gasket needs to be changed. Will this really resolve the initial problems? Is it worth putting the additonal work into this car?

A headgasket will most certainly cause a overheating problem with it working.

Check with kelly blue book and find out the value of your car and then check around for prices on a headgasket replacement. If its over 50% of your cars value it isnt worth it.

And you shoudl consider it an investment in another vehicle.
