How difficult is to change alternator

Generally not that hard. I would put the car up to allow access under the vehicle. There are are generally three bolts to take off. This will allow it to be loose and get the belt off.

Start with the electrical by disconnecting the positive cable to the battery. Unhook the electrical to the alternator. Then take off the bolts and remove.
