2005 Holden Commodore water pump failure

Hi thanks for the help. Had car serviced they changed the coolant using genuine coolant and a few days later the water pump started to leak? Why when it wasnt leaking before?

Hi there,

I think that you will find that there is no connection between the coolant change and the failed water pump, when the pump is removed check the weep hole at the bottom of the pump, I think that you will see some old coolant stain marks, I feel that it has been weeping for a while and not noticed, often small weeps will evaporate before you see a drip,
