The line is stuck on the pump because the previous owners took line off and put it on without the plastic piece that pushes the line off and I’m having a heck of a time trying to pop this line off. What are my options?

Hello,

The fuel feed tube quick connector can be removed by applying even pressure on both sides of the grey tab.

See a good video.

The plastic piece you are referring to sounds like it could be the retainer. See picture 1 below.
This needs to be removed to access the grey retainer, see picture 2 below.
Then use a suitable pry tool to apply even pressure on either side of the feed pipe grey tab, see picture 3 below.

Please let us know how you get along.

Cheers, Boris

The plastic retainer clip you are telling me to apply pressure to isn’t there. As I stated the previous owner put the line on without it and now, I can’t remove it so how do I get it off.

Hello,

If you look at the video, the plastic retainer needs to be removed before you can pry off the fuel line. The plastic clip is only there to secure the grey tabs in place to stop the pipe from coming off accidentally.

You will need to apply even pressure on both sides of the line.

Cheers, Boris
