Regardless what I dial in temperature control it blows only cold air.

How to run diagnostic test on this model?

I cannot locate heat door actuator for temperature control.

Could you please explain with pictures?

How to replace actuator?

I am bad with unsnapping electrical connectors. Could you please describe it in details?
What to use for disconnecting: screwdriver, special tool, finger?
Could you please provide a picture of both actuator and harness connectors?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

The air mix actuator is under the dash mounted on the side of the HVAC unit. See picture 1.

The directions for replacement are simple (once you locate the component). As far as the connector, it is plastic and will have a plastic tab on it. Depress the tab with your thumb and it should come off. It is a 7 pin connector, so it isn't too small.

Here are the directions from Alldata for replacement: Picture 2 correlates with these directions.

________________________________
Air Mix Control Motor Replacement

1. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from the air mix control motor (B). Remove the self-tapping screws and the air mix control motor from the heater unit.

2. Install the motor in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the pin on the motor is properly engaged with the linkage. After installation, make sure the motor runs smoothly.

Here is a test if you would like to confirm that is the problem. Pictures 3 and 4 correlate with these directions.

AIR MIX CONTROL MOTOR TEST (WITHOUT CLIMATE CONTROL)
Air Mix Control Motor Test

Special Tools Required

- Backprobe Set 07SAZ-001000A (2)

NOTE: Before testing the motor, check for HVAC DTCs See: Heating and Air Conditioning > Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview > How To Troubleshoot The Heating And A/C Systems (Without Climate Control).

1. Disconnect the 7P connector from the air mix control motor.

NOTICE
Incorrectly applying power and ground to the air mix control motor will damage it. Follow the instructions carefully.

2. Connect battery power to terminal No. 1 of the air mix control motor, and ground terminal No. 2; the air mix control motor should run, and stop at Max Hot. If it does not, reverse the connections; the air mix control motor should run, and stop at Max Cool. When the air mix control motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
3. If the air mix control motor did not run in step 2, remove it, then check the air mix control linkage and door for smooth movement.

- If the linkage and door move smoothly, replace the air mix control motor See: Air Door Actuator / Motor, HVAC > Removal and Replacement > Air Mix Control Motor Replacement (Without Climate Control).
- If the linkage or door sticks or binds, repair them as needed.
- If the air mix control motor runs smoothly, go to step 4.

4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 5 and No. 7 of the air mix control motor. It should be between 4.2 and 7.8 kOhms.

5. Reconnect the air mix control motor 7P connector, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Using the backprobe set (07SAZ-001000A), measure the voltage between terminals No. 3 and No. 7.
7. If either the resistance or the voltage readings are not as specified, replace the air mix control motor See: Air Door Actuator / Motor, HVAC > Removal and Replacement > Air Mix Control Motor Replacement (Without Climate Control).

I ran the self diagnostic test that I found for Civic. It turned on/off fan, flashed lights, but did not indicate any errors. I looked under the dashboard and saw a green connector. I pushed it in just to make sure it engaged.
I left and a few hours later I drove to gym and decided to check the heat. And it start blowing hot air. I turn it to cold, back to hot several times. Worked 100%. It made me so happy.
Thanks for your help.
