Hello,

My vehicle is making a grinding/rubbing noise at low speeds, once over forty mph the noise is not there as much. It is also is not there when I deactivate the clutch. I thought it may be the brakes but they seem fine, they function, and work well. Then I thought it could be the clutch on its way out, but the car is running well, no slipping in the clutch and gear changes are smooth. Any ideas?

It sounds like you have a input shaft bearing going out in the transmission. But to be sure can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

This video will give you an idea of what it will take to remove the transmission even though it not the same car the procedure is very similar.

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers, Ken
