Sometimes my yukon will not go into reverse unless I really step on the gas and then it grinds other times it is fine could the emergency brake just be stuck or something

You should have the 4l60e depending on what engine is in the vehcile, if so, there, was a problem with the reverse reaction sungear shell stripping, there is an updated part but you almost have to do an overhaul to get the job done
