I have a yukon, 2003 XL, with intermittant no starts. Replaced battery, problem still occurs, two mechanics checked vehicle, one of them a dealer, who found no error codes and no other problems. Problem continues, every few days or so. It will start after a few turns of the key. Interior lights and all accessories work when vehicle will not start. Any sugeestions?

Sounds like a bad ignition switch but I would check for power at the stasrter motor when this happens, if you have power at the purple wire at the starter when it wont start then replace the starter motor, if not then check for power at the yellow wire at the ignition switch and if none there while cranking then replace the ignition switch

What is easier to replace, switch or starter? Both cost or difficulty?

Starter is easier to replace. About 100 dollars for a starter motor
