I changed the fuel pump and everything worked fine for a few weeks. Then it acted like there was a short at the plug in the new pump, I unplugged it and it looked like one of the pins in the plug was messed up, so I replaced it and it worked again for a little bit. Now there is no power to the pump and if you make the relay that is on the drivers side fender well open up manually then it will start to work but the plug at the fuel pump feels like it is getting hot and then quits.

Most the new after market fuel pump for this vehicle comes know with a new wiring harness that you should replace with the replacement of the fuel module
have to go back about a foot or two on the harness cut and install the new one
also check it if the wiring had separated if it was replaced
