Once I removed the old pump how do I get the new one back on?

As stated rev process if the pump will not go back in the fuel pump shaft most likely fell down you will have to push back up there is a 9/16 headed bolt in the front of block just in front of the pump in line with fule pump drive shaft take it out will be short replace with a longer one push up shaft and just snug bolt this will hold shaft up replace pump the remove the longer bolt you put in and replace with the short one you took out to start with
